Mycoplasmas (Mollicutes)
Mycoplasmas occur naturally in various animals. Many species are pathogenic and it is well known that certain species can be immune-suppressive. DCA have developed the capacity to isolate and culture all the major Mycoplasma pathogens from livestock. Isolates can be identified at species level with molecular ID methods. Any clinical sample suspected to contain Mycoplasma is suitable for analysis. |
